Weeping Medusa (stone edition pictured)
£40.00
Lino Print of the monstrous Gorgon Medusa.
In this image, her grotesque Gorgon visage has been replaced by her mortal beauty before Athena changed her; punishment for “defiling” her temple…
More modern translations see the defiling as the fault of Poseidon, who took advantage of Medusa.
The Greek gods can be cruel indeed.
This print makes up the first 5/100 prints I will be doing of this rendition of Weeping Medusa, and is a special edition I call the “Stone Edition” due to the grey colouring.
Each print will come complete with its own set of imperfections, as Lino printing do, and will be printed upon Rayon Unryu White paper, which has a wonderful smooth texture with interesting colouring.
It will fit perfectly into an A4 frame (it will come unframed).
